Just a followup, nothing important...
I ended up tracking some drums with the C42s couple nights ago...set up in the classic 3 mic setup (with the kick 6" off the beater bar instead of front of kit)...mics were positioned OH of snare and side addressed from toms, equidistant from snare center...
Worked beautifully...(project was a bubblegum country thing)...then only treatment I needed was to dip the EQ a bit in the highs to reduce some excessive brightness from the cymbals, and pan to taste...
I have GOT to get more of these Josephsons...
