Is it STOOPID to write thank you posts in the threads?
« on: May 09, 2005, 04:38:47 PM »

Well,

Is it?

You have all these great minds with such a wonderful nature as to take time to help each other as well as the slobs....

So

If you are a fukken slob are you even more of an idiot if you blurt into the thread like a booger eating moron and thank everyone profusely as if the giants didn't know they were appreciated by the members of the REP and all the lurking cowards...is it well...bad form old boy?

It doesn't necessarily mean I will stop no matter what the answer is....

Love yas...

I wouldn't have thought so...

Manners maketh the man...and all that stuff...

If someone has helped, why wouldn't you thank them - in thread or PM?

Cheers,
Tim

Thanks for this post.  I really appreciate your help on this topic and your expertise in analyzing the psyches of music folks has really helped me in my day to day struggles.

Check out the "Thank you maskman" skit/animation done by Lenny Bruce.

That will answer all of your questions.

I couldn't care whether it's the "done thing" to write "thanks" when someone's given you advice that stirs your imagination (or stirs an old piece of gear back into life in your rack for that matter) or not.

Living around London, I see rudeness and needless aggression on a daily-basis, and therefore make a point of showing gratitude when amongst fellow AEs on the Internet - to do otherwise simply wouldn't be cricket :-)
