rca 77d pin damage

Hi,
I've got an rca 77 d that has one of the screw mounts broken off at the beggining of the threaded part.
I understand that this is common for the thinner screws mounted on this version.
Has anyone else had this problem?
What is the best way to fix it?
Can something be done without having to 'unweld' the motor assembly?

You could try JB Weld on it. file off the sheared looking stuff, rough up the ends with course sandpaper, and see if it will do it.
I haven't used it on something this small, but it does tend to work pretty well.
