ITunes on the fritz
« on: April 22, 2005, 08:21:59 PM »

In light of our Steely Dan discussion I went to iTunes to hear a few old tracks that hadn't made the trasistion from my old vinyl to CD

Much to my surprise EVERY SONG WAS AT THE WRONG SPEED!  I was just previewing them, and thought that must be some oddity...

But I downloaded "FM" and the same thing is going on. All sounding like a 44.1 file being played at 48

I'll drop them an email and let you know what they say.

Anyone else find this to be true..or wtih other artists/songs?

BIZZARRRE!

Boy do I feel dumb!

Found the problem right after posting...

Several things happened to make this occur:

1. Running Digi Audio Core so as to playback iTunes thru the Digi 192
2. Recently had locked the 192 to a DAT for a transfer
3. WHICH just so happened to be a 48K DAT
4. Thus..you guessed it...the 192 was being clocked at 48K

DUH!

As Emily Latilla would say, "Never Mind."
