Artist: Brian Schram
I produced and engineered. I worked all the tones at the sources. This was 5 years ago. The guitar solo is a hot rail strat through a Laney tube head and into My custom built two 12 box.... This was done in my Basement on DA-88's and my big Peavey Mixer. Too bright and too wet. Printed live except the solo.

ivan40, that is a very nice recording. It doesn't sound very "DA-88" to me at all. Kudos.

The MySpace spot for our band's stuff at present. There's 3 songs from our recently completed CD. I like Psycho Chauffeur best, but that's just me.
I recorded, mixed and played drums.

These are all recordings by bands of musicians whose only desire was, apparently, to make me look good.

Here are some songs to offer up in case I decide to start dishing out advice....
3 songs from my last project (a month back or so)
J. Christopher Hughes and I recorded the songs.
Mixed by me
Mastered by me (if that is what you want to call it?)
I also played guitar (like how that is after mixing and mastering)

Been meaning to do this for a while. Head's been up my arse for months. Studio move/busy studio/life (whatever that is
).
Anyway, if you go here: -

The song that should play is one I produced for my mates in Winnipeg. It's recorded in a basement, but it turned out pretty decent. Mixed it in Glasgow where I have access to all my toys.
It's a bit popier than the usual fair on here.

Some examples of my indie pop stuff. I'm just a home studio guy, but I like to pretend.

These are just rough demos... I'm working on pulling the best together for release now. And I have a deadline of Sept 16 when baby #2 drops and all my free time is gone again. Ack!

Right, I've cut this list down as much as I can force myself to:
The Secret Hairdresser - Pass The Parcel:

parcel.mp3
The Secret Hairdresser - Copier:

Band recorded live in practice room onto 4 track cassette, then overdubs and vocals on PC. I wrote these & played guitar & sang.
Stars Of Aviation - Illumined:
http://laprecords.co.uk/studio/mp3s/soa_illumined.mp3
I recorded and mixed it. Drums on 4 track cassette, then the rest on PC through
