I hope J. Hall is cool with me posting this message here. I run a Bachelor of Music degree program in music technology at Central Missouri State University (in Warrensburg, MO). It seems like many people who frequent this forum are in the Kansas City area.
If you're interested, we are hosting Mike Sokol and his 5.1 surround tour (check out the website

By the way, the same show is being hosted on Feb. 22 by Robert Beck and the KC AES chapter on UMKC's campus. I expect you could contact them if you want to attend that one, though I can't be certain about that.
