Wonder who'll get the Sintefex, Noah? I'd quite like a second one to be able to run two sets of samples, but other things are taking priority gear-wise at the moment.
Thanks to Dave Davis via the MWB I've now discovered that the FX 2000 makes an excellent colourless digital EQ and compressor in addition to its other talents - don't you just love it when you think you know everything about a piece of equipment and some new gem feature pops up? I'd be intrigued to know what Mike Kemp and colleagues are cooking up in Portugal at the moment.
As far as the Kultube is concerned, I had one for review in mid-2002, liked it a lot and can see why mastering people are expressing an interest. Stand-out moment of the evaluation period for me was discovering that the manual was written in splendid 'Germanlish', so the distortion control was described as rendering the signal 'infinitely variable to desperation' - as I said at the time, maybe not so badly translated after all.
All the best with your sale.
