With Sad Regrets...
« on: December 14, 2004, 04:04:35 AM »

It would seem, One Mr. Peter Poyser is no longer with us on the forum. I sincerely hope it was his choice but I would rather expect, he grew weary of childish behavior amongst peers. If so, this is a sad state of affairs. Is is not often acoustic wisdom and experience at his level with the flowery British tone can come and communicate meaningful language to a forum.

If he is not coming back, It is a bloody shame and a sad situation.

I surmised this based on his absence and him turning all PM's off.

If this is not an appropriate place to yield this info, please find one and move it.

"Pete" is obviously busy helping His Country, with precious little time to meddle in the affairs of the common man, aka Mastering Engineers. To have a real "El Jefe" here on these boards albeit briefly -- well what can you say?

I miss him already.

Coincidence or not, I dunno, but he seemed to stop posting when I edited his last post and sent him a PM telling him to stop with all the 'Heidi Klum' links.

If that's his reason for leaving, fine. These forums are about audio.

As for his growing "weary of childish behavior amongst peers", I'd say if this is the case, he should develop thicker skin, as this forum is tame compared to any other forum (or the real world, for that matter).

I'll say this much, it certainly takes much less time to get caught up on the forums now, but he's obviously welcome to post if he wishes...

Delurking for a moment..

Don't Worry Smile

It's more than likely its the busy schedule of Christmas shows that musicians and conductors alike get sucked into this time every year. This place can be distracting when your trying to get real work done when your job isn't connected to the pc or the internet. This happens to my family every year since my mother-in-law is a classical violinist and instructor. Too many shows and rehearsals... and usually Its me and the Shia Tsu alone at home watching "Christmas Story" until I attend te one show that matters to my daughters.

Anyhow,

Peter deals with musicians...how could he become weary of the childish behavior here? I mean really.... he has to listen to prima-donna Viola players complain about too many notes so how can this place be any worse? Smile

Back to lurk mode..

Peace,
Dennis

I don't see the guy running off in a huff for the above reasons as well.

He'll be posting more passages of Biblical length and timbre soon enough ...

I have corresponded several times by alternate method with PP fairly recently.

He is quite busy with other tasks of large import.

I'm sure he will post again when the time is right.

Rest assured that he still reads.

I apparently am in the minority, but life has been nicer since he stopped posting.

Peter can no longer post on REP as he had a nasty habit of erasing his posts some time after posting them. While that is his right, it makes the threads he participated in difficult to follow. After repeated warnings, this action was taken.
