When I switch the rosetta to analog on the "source to digital out" I can monitor via my dac-1's AES input only on the corresponding analog in or from PT outoput, not both.  I thought the Rosetta was full duplex? And rout-able. I am trying to do this without a mixer in the chain.  So can I monitor my mix via AES while monitoring the recording track mixed in?

I have figured out to set channels 1-2 on source to digital out to option card to monitor the mix. Then set the other channels to analog to track and monitor those tracks when record enabled, but that's 6 in 2 out. Man, was I naive to think I would get 8 in 8out from this thing simultaneously. Am I setting it up wrong or is my little discovery correct, that it is only 8 channels aviable at one given moment?
