How to organize a wedding in Georgia?
« on: July 19, 2024, 04:51:00 PM »

Hi all! My partner and I really want to tie the knot in Georgia. Any tips for having a ceremony in this beautiful country? What unique elements should we consider and are there any local customs we should be aware of?

Perhaps the first order of business is to find out whether the original poster means the U.S. state of Georgia or the country of Georgia in the (mostly southern) Caucasus. It seems to me that he may well have meant the country, although to be sure, the U.S. state of Georgia does have its own local customs.

..and the next order of business would be: how can I integrate this request into my microphone forum?

Maybe the "Georg" in "Georgia" is for Georg Neumann?

If it is indeed the US state of Georgia, I would recommend Rossville because Western Electric has just opened a tube manufacturing facility there, and you could pop in and ask them if they could tool up for some VF14's or even just some AC701's...  ;)

“ Here, many hands work together to make a product that transcends time—the electron tube. One tube in particular, the type 300B triode, has captivated music lovers for decades in their search for sonic purity and analog perfection. In 2018, eighty years after the 300B was originally commissioned, we established this works facility, dedicating an entire wing to its assembly. The Rossville Works is a preservation effort, the home of tube sound in the 21st century”

A VF14 might not be out of the question…
