 Input Hardware Advice
« on: October 01, 2004, 05:43:41 PM »

Posted in another forum and it might have beent he wrong one.  I see more activity here and would like to get some input/advice.

I have just upgraded my home studio. I splurged and purchased an Avalon 737sp and U5. (yippie!!) Now I am concerned about my digital conversion.

I am running Logic Audio (Waiting for Pro 7, already ordered), and right now using a M-Audio Delta 1010 (But don't like thier software).

Can anyone offer advice on a firewire audio input device (it would be great to use this at home and with my 'Book)? Or should I stick with a PCI device? I only need 2 I/Os, but would be willing to have up to whatever. Is there something without built in pre's? (I am in the mind that I don't need them with this Avalon gear). Any thoughts on having/not having pre's?
