Patch Bay Bath?

Hello All,

I have an old ADC patch bay and I'm wondering if there is a way to "bathe" the modules.

Everything is dirty and I was hoping there a safe way to let the modules sit in some type of chemical solution for an over all cleaning before I began soldering.

I'm still going to do a standard cleaning, but the whole thing is so filthy, I'd love to start with a master cleanse.

If you can find a big enough ultrasonic bath, use that. Use methylated spirits as the liquid in the bath. Make sure your area is well ventilated.

I have  a small one, and I'm planning on disasembling the bay for a good clean and repainting the chassis.  I'll give it a shot.

Any idea how long  it  takes.

The bath only runs for 10 minutes per load.
