U47 - Peluso M7 Reskin
« on: August 10, 2023, 01:51:06 PM »

John Peluso is a good friend and lives only 2.5 hours from me. We use his mics at my university and I enjoy supporting an Appalachian business. Hence the story...

I picked up a 1959 U47 that needed a capsule (original M7 diaphragm was destroyed) and the VF14 was weak. Having a recording session next week, I drove up to his place and he helped make it serviceable. While he is taking some time to try rejuvenating the VF14, he had a Phædrus on hand to lend me.

These comparisons were made against my other U47 with VF14 and K47 (obtained directly from a certain well-known forum moderator).

Forgive me if I misunderstand, but what comparisons are you referring to?  Maybe something in your post is not showing up on my page.
