Neumann SM69 polarization problem
« on: May 26, 2022, 04:35:13 PM »

Hi, I have an SM69 that has one capsule stuck on Omni, and the other capsule stuck on Cardioid.  The pattern switches do nothing.  I can't find a readable schematic for its NSMa 23u PSU to trouble shoot to see if it's missing it polarizing voltages, or something else such as a bad mic cable

I'd really appreciate it if someone can email a good schematic (and any suggestions) to [email protected]

Thanks,
Ivan

All you need for troubleshoot is in the manual‘s last page, pinouts and voltages:

https://manualzz.com/doc/3341067/neumann.berlin-sm-69-fet-user-s-manual

As the polarization voltages are controlled by simple switches it should be no problem to trace them, to find out where they’re lost.

EDIT: Dead link removed, was a duplicate, kind of, anyway.

First link is dead. Please investigate.
