u67 Capsule Info

Hi!
Trying to find out some info on what capsule might be in this u67 and what year it could be from. I know it was replaced around 2010 but I don't know much more than that. The old capsule is in a Neumann capsule box that says K870 and # 1006. I don't know if that's the replacement or the old one.
Thanks!

George,
The capsule that you show is a Neumann K67/870 construction. As the original writing has been removed (either during cleaning or re-diaphragming by an aftermarket party), it's not possible to date its manufacturing year.
If you could share a picture of the other capsule and its container, we might be able to deduct further information.

Thanks Klaus, here's the old capsule and what I think might be the box of the new capsule.
Appreciate the help!

The capsule in the box shows a 1996 version of the K870.

Amazing, thanks so much Klaus!
Do you recommend anyone in particular for reskinning, or do you think I'm better off with a new Neumann capsule?

I never recommend rediaphragming ("reskinning"), as these products and services are invariably inferior in sound and mechanical properties to the Neumann-manufactured product.
If you think that a surface restoration is not feasible, buy a new capsule from Neumann or a used one on the open market.
