U47 with yoke mount?

Saw where someone posted on Facebook these photos of Carole King recording at RCA in 1959. Does anyone know the story behind the U47 yoke mount in these photos?

Both the yoke mount and the cable termination necessitated by the mount are an aftermarket, non-Neumann construction.
But I cannot help you further who made it.

If that picture was done at the Brill Building in NYC, it is conceivably a Gotham/in-house number or done by a local metal shop in Manhattan.

At second look it appears to be, perhaps, an umber RCA 77 yoke with a fabricated/recycled chrome band and strange cable connection.

Anyhow, thought it was interesting. Carry on!

It is definitely an RCA 77DX umber shock mount and yoke.  I have had two of them.
