I have seen many U87 microphones with broken pins of the low cut/pad switches.
Is there a good way to repair those switch pins?
I know that Neumann sells the complete switch/capsule mounting assembly, for a pretty high price.
(I don't think $471 is a realistic price to replace a single broken switch pin...)
I found that Soundlock Engineering is selling replacement switch sliders that are 3-D printed.
Any suggestion is highly appreciated!

I buy 1mm ø plastic rods of the color, cut to size (any type of plastic will do), bevel the tip to the exact radius of the original, drill out the broken-off switch section, then insert and glue the new rod into place.

Indistinguishable from the original, when done right.

 I am also attempting to repair the -10db switch on an U87AI 1998.

Is there any chance someone here could sell me or point to a few centimetres of the dark yellow 1mm plastic rod
that is required to repair this? I have spent hours looking for this and would truly appreciate it!
