The Etymotic ER-6 are veeery nice sounding, but make sure you get a set of spare silicon as well as foam pieces. Let's say the fitting pieces are very personal, you don't really want to get into earwax-sharing. Also since I use them I regularly rinse my ear canals, which ends up being a good idea if you listen a lot. Smile

For ease and convenience, traditional headphones are probably easier, but they don't come close soundwise.

S-Logic Ultrasone HFI 550 or 650 . They are great to mix in and have great isolation. Frequency resopne solid. The technology is very hip. I have no fatigue when useing them. Heard them at the NAMM in January and got a pair. Will pick up another pair. They are very nice.
