U47 Fet Screws Needed
« on: August 17, 2014, 03:02:41 PM »

The 3 screws that hold the capsule to the body on my U47 Fet have all fallen out and are lost to the winds.
The thread does not appear to be metric. Anybody have a source for these or any idea what thread they are?
Thanks!

All screws on Neumann mics are, and always have been, metric (there are exactly THREE countries in the world which do nor use the metric system: Liberia, Myanmar and of course, the United States of America).
But in order to help you, I need more information:

Which three screws are you referring to? The ones that hold the head basket to the body (Philips oval)?
Or the ones that affix the head assembly base plate to the head basket (fillister slot)?

That's a nickel-plated Phillips oval, its surface blasted to matte, to match the sheen of the head basket.
This one you can only obtain from Neumann (Sennheiser/USA in North America).
