C12 Machine Screws
« on: March 16, 2014, 09:13:10 PM »

Oh man am I getting frustrated!

I've spent FAR too much time looking for some replacement screws.  I've had some missing on my C12 since I bought it and I'd like to tighten the whole thing up.  (No idea why anyone would reassemble it with missing screws, but they just did.)

I'm looking for a source for 1.7mm x 3mm flathead, slotted machine screws.  If anyone can help me find them I'd be very grateful.

They can't be that hard to find, but here in the US I just can't find a supplier.

Thanks!

M1.7 x 3 mm is correct.  It is a "DIN 963 Senkschraube mit Schlitz (ISO 2009)" translated as German Industrial Norm 963 slotted flathead screw.

And I found a source, in stainless steel, plus a PDF with dimensions, at Wegertseder:

Bezeichnung: DIN 963 Senkschrauben mit Schlitz
Werkstoff:    STAHL 4.8 - blank gedreht

Contact them via email. They do international shipping.

Best of luck!

TFK-USA does not have them, or are they using different sizes?

Klaus, you're amazing!

I'll need to find someone who speaks German to help me to navigate their site, but it looks like just the resource that I needed.

Thank you so much!

The site has a telephone number, and the people who answer speak English. Just refer to the part number, and order the minimum. Or have someone who reads this, and who happens to live in Germany order for you.
