I actually thought about that after I last posted. There have of course been power centers for guitar pedals on the market for quite a while. I could probably rig one of the high quality, regulated 12 volt, multi-amp, amateur radio type power supplies I have around here for the purpose. I should contact FL, and some other folks I know for some engineering advice as to how it should be properly done to insure safe and quiet operation. Got some homework to do I guess.
Thanks, Dean

That could very well work... and the nice folks at FMR Audio [Mark McQ] will probably be able to help you with the specification for what you need to purchase / assemble.

Best of luck with the project!!

Don't use switchers for mic preamps, too noisy. Use linear supplies like stuff from Power One.

Switching power supplies are really not up to the mic pre-amp task... unless you can clock them off the converter / master clock which puts the switching noise between the recorded samples.  Frankly its a whole lot more of a pain in the ass than going with something like a Power One as Jim suggested.
