Regarding the use of silica gel for microphone storage--does anyone have insight on any of the the 'indicating' gel--that has chemical added which turns color when saturated--- are these recommended for this purpose?

All silica granulates I have ever used for desiccation turn color: from dark blue (ready to be used, and fully charged) to amber/brown/clear, depending on the type, when saturated and no longer able to take up any more humidity.
