AKG C24 Swivel Mount screw specs and questions
« on: October 14, 2013, 02:39:11 PM »

I just had our C24 show up in the shop with the 3 swivel mount screws all missing.  (The 3 screws that hold the actual assembly inside the housing and are accessible below the threaded ring.

Because of this the portion of the assembly that adjusts for the XY and MS settings comes completely out of the housing.

Can anyone tell me the specs for the screws that should be there?  M2?  M1.7?  Also the length would be handy.

And just to confirm, the MS and XY settings change nothing electronically, do they?  It's my understanding that it just changes the relative position of the mic in the mount.

Thanks!

PM me, then send me a stamped, self-addressed envelope, and I will send you three of the right head-type, thread and length.

Thanks so much Klaus!  PM has been sent.

Am I correct on my assumption regarding the XY and MS settings?

Thanks again!

You are correct. The two settings are just a visual reminder, a "set-up help". They do not affect electronics or acoustics of the mic itself.
