Pendulum PL2 x ES8
Hi,

Although I also share the opinion that a digital limiter might do a better job, what are the opinions of users considering these 2 analog limiters?

ES8 is tube ( similar to OCL2 controls) and PL2 is JFET/MOsfet.

I have seen people buying the PL2 lately. Really curious about "tone signature".

I heard one at AES a while back and thought it was pretty nice.  I use the Manley Slam, so I've got FET limiting covered pretty well here.
Going wight the philosophy of doing a little GR at multiple stages, I'm thinking the PL2 would be a nice addition to any rack.  Let us know what you think when you hear it Alecio!

The PL2 has very few  buttons, less functions than the ES8.
Anyway, what counts is the sound.. different boxes, right?

Fet limiting vs Mu compression... Inherently in these designs, you're hear a totally different dynamic profile.  Probably nice together!
