Remote scene change on 01v96
« on: February 02, 2013, 06:05:46 PM »

Hi,
Not sure if i.m in the correct place here but could do with a little advice or pointing in the right direction.
I need to remotely control scene change on the 01V96. i have been looking at various midi controller options but really only need the option of selecting up to 8 scenes (as you would from the console directly) but remotely.
Wired via midi or usb ? but there will not be a PC available so ipad options not suitable.

Any ideas much appreciated.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, i..l have to check with the yamaha see if they have any ideas.
There are apps available but its no good for this applications as there isnt any pc available to connect to.

Thinking of seeing what i can find midi controller wise to send midi commands to the 01v96
and hopefully allocating the commands to scene changes.

Thanks any way.

I don't know what your show is... but... is there any way to run SMPTE time code through the show?  If there is then it can do both sound and lights at the same time [which could be helpful... or not... like I said - don't know what your show is].

Peace

Yea Sorry should have said......

In his instance the 01v96 is part of a system installed for end users.  Music group meetings, readings, etc.

We set up scenes for the various options they require and it would be very usefull just to have a
remote control option to change scenes. ie Without having to go to the mixer which is not local to the performer/speaker.  Most times there will not be anyone available to do any adjustments.

I'm looking into the 01v96 tech spec at moment to see what we could try.

Many thanks
Mike
