Al Grundy passed yesterday, and for those who are into vinyl, this is a very big loss. Al, from what I know was possibly the foremost expert in the servicing of Lathes.

Adam recently interviewed him on his Squarecad podcast. It's amazing to think about how he started recording direct to disc in the 1940s and carried the analog torch well into the 2000s with his International Cutter Head Service company.

NO!. I JUST learned of this from his wife tonight.

I now feel more lost than when I started because, he was the only person I could turn to that I could also trust. And I haven't the heart to bother Paul Gold (SALT MASTERING) because he is so busy.

I REALLY need help with my Neumann VMS-66. Im still learning...

And the only person I know whom to turn to is gone ...

So many mastering personnel losses this year, a very bad year for it. RIP
