Price dropped to 1000 quid...

Really not wanting to sell this, but unfortunately being self employed aint easy on the old bank account some times.

I have used this on a wide range of music in the year I have had it in a mastering context and will be very sad to see it go, and would it to go to a good home!

This is a TF PRO p38v7 stereo optical compressor: P38v7 Ultimate mastering and effect compression by Ted Fletcher

I will sell cheaper if you come and collect it/pay cash in Nottingham, UK

CONDITION: this is approx one year old, bought direct off Ted Fletcher himself. No marks/damage to the unit, not valves inside to be worn, no dodgy knobs or anything.

This is a combination of DETENTED and standard rotary controls. It uses a subtle Transformer input which works wonders on sterile ITB mixes pre compression to smooth our any grainyness or hardness in the mids. The compression is optical and therefore is really smooth and the release is the most transparent I have ever heard. It also has this clever "transient release" technology, which allows the speed/shape of the release to be affected by the peak level being inputted, therefore a single loud snare won't suddenly cause a breathing effect, very clever.

Very much a "stick it in and forget about it" compressor.

Due to the single control on the input for stereo signal there is some slight drift in LR balance but Ted combats this in the design (unlike most!) by providing a very good L R balance knob. Very well designed.

Can you tell I really like this and don't want to sell it?

PS Ill stick some photos up soon.
