Need help for a college project.

Boom mics: Schoeps CMIT5U, Sennheiser 816, Sennheiser 416, Sennheiser MKH60, Neumann KMR81.

No such thing as "best" lapel microphone...only "least worst".

Sanken COS11, Sennheiser MKE-2 Gold, Tram TR-50...if you can still find them.

Recorders: Nagra VI, Sound Devices 822.

I hope I get credit on your college project, and I hope you are doing more than just submitting lists. IOW I hope you have to figure out WHY these bits of kit are the best, and in which particular applications.

Hey Tim,

Thanks a lot for the reply. From all the research I did Sennheiser shoutguns,, SD and Tascam recorders and Countryman lapels   turned out to be the more popular than others. One local engineer let me try out a few boom mics too! Yes this indeed was a very good learning experience for me, as production sound is something very new to me. And very interesting too! Thanks again.
