I was at a Pro Tools 10 demo with Avid about a month ago. There are some minor benefits with the new version for ME's like being able to handle different formats in the same session and clip based automation, but for those of us who mainly use hardware nothing that really sticks out for me.
Pro Tools 10 is basically an intermediate release until a full 64 bit version is ready and everyone using TDM has to make a switch in both plug-ins and hardware. The major benefit (IMHO) with the newer version(s) is going to be for audio post facilities and not so much for MEs.
