Problems with bells...
« on: December 02, 2011, 10:57:59 am »

I got some material into master. It is all done on a synthesizer.

The problem track has some bells with lots of sibilance and after ring.

I tried a lot of different eq settings and some vocal effect processors to get rid of the sibilance but it is still way too prominent. Any suggestions or ideas would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Depends on the material but sometimes this works:

have you ever worked with iZotope RX2?  it may be tedious, but the spectral repair tool may help knock some of those transients and after rings down.  i've had some amazing results with guitar string squeaks through reverbs that this tool has tamed down very nicely.
