People of Wump-24!

A BIG congratulations to the lot of you. What a spectacular effort! I for one, am proud of you all.
You have made real strong efforts across the board. Proving, that the Wump’s at PSW, is not only the oldest mastering meet on the net today, but, a worthy one too.

As most have taken that slight personal road and journey, nonetheless, we have all arrived intact, unruffled  and very composed.

As usual, I thank all of you for the jam-up. This was an eventful WUMP-24 and spectacularly closed 2011 by the Wump crew. Thank you.

In no particular order, I present my verdicts.

DOMC:
Pleasantly crafted. Does have a slight bum of low mid-range. Still, quite enjoyable.

GGidluck:
Has that CD like sizzle. Perhaps, a tad too much making it reedy or thin. Relaxed in RMS too, in a nice way.

Viitalahde:
Broad and big. I like the way it thumps. Pleasing to listen to, but, I’d ask for it to be thinned out ever so slightly.

Fuse:
Clear in approach, plus, soft too. Nice! I’d ask for that CD sparkle to close the deal good.

Herbeck:
Overly thick and too expansive. But, since listening to it a few times, I forget my early notions. That’s a good thing.

LudwigM:
True to the original. Tonality maintained. Enjoyable and unperturbed. I’d ask for less of the lower-mids. Like it though.

Mmarra:
Impressions are enjoyable. May have overcooked the sizzle and shine, which brings out that fatiguing thwack. Largely worthy of a good go ..

OTR:
Satisfying start. Relishing the tone and calm nature. Though, a noticeable drag of heaviness evident. Apart from that, can’t fault it. Well done.

Patrikt:
Respectable approach. Not overly indulgent nor over medicated. Slight lassitude felt on the high-mids. Still, enjoying every bit of it.

See you all on the Techniques side of things after most have reflected and deliberated.

Sorry for the delay -
GGIDLUCK - liked this master - thought it was a bit crisp but over all good - found the low mids a bit humpy
OTR - kick drum sounded great - thought the bass was a little muffled but over all good balance
KAYO - thought maybe a bit more air would have been nice here. again great balance - felt nice and controlled
FUSE- thought it was a little bit compressed and mid range pushed....but not bad just different compared to the others
HERBECK - liked the tone of the drums - good overall balance - nothing wrong ehre really
LUDWIGM - I felt the guitars stuck out a bit in your master and distracted me from the song groove
MMARRA - a bit too much guitar and bass in this one for me - I lost the vocals at times.
JAAKO - nice ass you got there buddy. other than great master...

did anyone else edit the volume of that first flute note at 1:55 or am I anal?

A worthy touch, I would think.

Saying that, I did work a tad on the intro crackle and mid flute crackle (2:14) etc ..

Cheers,
