what i've found, is PU's readings aren't very constant -- and im not sure trust worthy.

i tested a disc with both PU and PT, and the PT one had the same reading everytime, and the PU one was different, sometimes drastically.

YMMV/FWIW/ZIPZAP/BOOMBAP

well, cool.

when things get reassembled, i'll try the same test here and see what happens.

what burners were you using for the tests?

hopefully one day, masters on CDRs will be as rare as u-matic masters are today

what, you don't miss your BVU and the chatter of a DTA printing out results that show you just wasted the last couple of hours due to one error at the 67 minute mark ? 

i'm gonna go stripe some tape just for old times' sake...  :'(

luckily i wasn't old enough to make masters for that format, just run them in the dupe lab

I've only just noticed this thread now as I also haven't been on PSW in a while mainly for the same reasons. Usually too much work on. All the best Brad, you've run a tight ship. I was going to say DC would be a good replacement but he has his own forum now anyway..

No doubt we'll be in touch on other forums or on FB.
