just thinking, Arcade Fire and Spalding win grammies......i guess music as art can be noticed.....

I was really encouraged by the Arcade Fire win.  It seems obscure unless you really think about the quality of that record compared to like a Springsteen LP or something.  For me, it really had scope, great writing, recording...everything.  It'll also ensure I actually watch next year just to see what happens.  It seems entirely likely they'll go back to their Beibering ways, but perhaps this is the sign that something good is afoot.
