My favorite is assembled master reels with each song on a different emulsion or from a different batch!

When we had shedding problems on 468 in the 1990's we contacted Agfa and they flew a chemist over from Germany called Klaus Koppe (sp?). He recommended microwaving the tape at 10% power, then slow winding while wiping the oxide with Viledon fabric. It worked fine but was scary. I have the notes somewhere.
