German PSW-ers?
« on: January 07, 2011, 10:48:14 PM »

I'll be flying into Frankfurt on Sunday and taking the train to Gottingen.  I'm staying in Osterode for 4 nights and Frankfurt next Thursday before flying back to the States.  Any PSW folks anywhere near those cities up for a beer if time permits?

Hi Jim,

I will be busy in Hamburg next week.
Is there any chance for you to come to Hamburg?

It would be great to meet one of you PSW guys over here.

I didn't make it to Berlin.  I was staying in Osterode, and had a business meeting in Braunschweig, but that was a close as I got.  On the way back to Osterode, we decided to drive over the Hartz Mountain (sp?), and stopped at a beautiful little town called Goslar to get a cup of coffee.  Wow, what an experience.  It was a cool and misty evening, with incredible light.  On the way over the mountain it started to snow, which made everything just that much more beautiful.

I'm sure most people have a place that feels like "home", presumably because of their heritage.  For me, Germany is not it -- Scotland is -- but it is really eye-opening to visit small towns in faraway places and witness the differences and similarities to our own lives.  I wish I could travel more.

Prost!

Speaking of visiting Germany, I'm doing a three week tour there with a singer named Alannah Myles end of March/start of April.

I'll post a tour itinerary closer to the dates and if anyone wants to come and say hi I'd love to meet and chin wag and discuss beer of course.

Have a good and safe trip over there Jim.
