CD Text (TS?) in soundBlade DDP, Question
« on: December 16, 2010, 03:38:13 PM »

sorry for the dumb question folks.

I've never been straight on this,

we're delivering the DDP file set via Internet today to Europe

now the TS file is the text file for soundBlade, no?

I've downloaded the DDP for QC and cut a CD in sB, text is there.

do other systems, like Eclipse read this file?

shouldn't this be an ITI file?

how can a replicator in Europe read my text file?

I may have even asked this question before, did a quick search, don't think so, sorry, age related memory.

thanks, bab

Hmmm... not sure I follow your question, but CD-TEXT.BIN is where sB generally stashes CD text data.

older versions of sB didn't include a binary file but the latest version does. The TS file is not part of the DDP specification.

Yeah. The TS file is for soundBlade's use only. If you burn a CD with soundBlade, it uses the TS file to add CD Text to that CD.

sB 2.x will generate the CD-TEXT.BIN as part of the DDP.

If you're using sB 1.x, you can't deliver a DDP with CD-Text. You need to ask the pressing plant to add the CD-Text info.
