Yes, many are exactly the same.  Only the graphic interfaces were different. They probably saw the same Robert Bristow-Johnson code as everyone else and Bam!, you're a developer.

Funny how all the ones I've used sound a little bit different.

Maybe it's something in the implementation.

The "Instant Song Mastering" guy seems to be a "knucklehead".
SPL and Brainworks know what they are doing.

This eq reminds me of the famous Genwaveaudio Eq.
A lousy GUI, boost the top and bottom cut at 1kHz just by plugging it in.
