e-mail sig/disclaimer
« on: October 29, 2010, 07:25:20 AM »

Just received an e-mail with the following sig:
Quote:

This message is intended exclusively for its addressee and may contain information that is confidential, gossip or whose disclosure could make people look bad. Unauthorized use of such information is not cool, dude.

You should reply back, gossiping about the person whose sent that email.

I think you should write back saying "gossip and other information that would make people look bad shouldn't be sent in emails".

Dude! That would be even less cool.

Once I received a message that had a sig like "if you're not the intended recipient blah blah you should delete this immediately blah blah confidential blah legal consequences blah"

The thing is, I wasn't the intended recipient, and I wrote back:
--
Your fault for not paying attention to who you send your confidential e-mails; I reserve the right to forward to anyone anything I receive in my e-mail and my personal e-mail account is not to be considered a secure means of communication; furthermore, the threatening tone of your signature caused me distress and I may decide to sue for harassment and moral damages if this behavior does not cease immediately.
--
Or something to that effect.

The funny part: I got a reply...  it said only "sorry" and had no sig.
