very good to see all the appreciation of nice machinery around here. I know Eveanna Manley is a rider, I wonder if DC rides.

My younger cousin had one of those in the late 80's, CCCP made. When the speed went over a specific limit, the thing flipped to either side and the driver usually got hurt.

Wow! I've got to get out there on Stelvio Pass.

Some great stuff on this thread, and I thought we were all going home at night to do some knitting.

Lastly, as this is a thread for riders:

OK - it's official.  I never ever will be as cool as Trevor.  It's Sadler's world and we just live in it.  Very Happy

Jaakko, that caused me to aspirate my iced tea.

This thread gives me deja-vu somehow.  But ...  Well, prior to coming to DC's conclusion about motorcycles, this was my reverse-commuter from San Francisco to Sausalito, and I friggin' loved it:

Ha! Whatever Steve! I am totally not cool (my 15 yr old daughter can attest to that)!  Thank you for the kind words.

One year I rode down to San Fran for the AES convention, camped on Mt Tam, and commuted in to the Moscone.  Ate breakfast a few times in Sausalito too on my way. Maybe I'll do it again this year if the weather hasn't turned.

Although, I don't really ride it.  I refuse to call something so active "riding."  It does get me to the commuter train three days a week much more reliably that this used to:

The other days I drive.

Nice ride. As one may have guessed due to my avatar, I'm a Brit bike fan. I'm riding a newer Triumph at the moment (well, not right at the moment), a Speed Triple.

Jay, we just rode through San Fran and to Fiarfax before going back to the coast.
Must have been sweet living there!

Here's the K1200S I ride.
