XML playlist formatting??
« on: August 24, 2010, 09:10:51 PM »

I have a client that is having me send tracks to HDtracks.com and on the spec sheet they request metadata for the wav files embedded as an XML playlist.  From my understanding an XML playlist is just an ASCII file formatted in a specific way so I figure I should be able to handle this as long as I know what the standard markups are.  Anyone have good links towards the syntax these are created in?

Figure I can contact hdtracks.com directly for this as well - but wanted to see if I can get a quick answer here.

Best regards,

Steve,

I don't know if this is what they use, but the following is one standard

http://xspf.org/specs/

It can pretty much be whatever a vendor wants it to be.

Tom -
thanks much for the link!
Guess I'll need to double check with HDTracks to see if they actually follow this standard - but looking at it seems they should.
