Quiet air conditioning retrofit
« on: July 23, 2010, 04:57:51 pm »

This week's hot weather has me thinking - what are some common solutions for retrofitting quiet air conditioning into a single room (control room)?

Would like to be prepared with a general overview of the options before I talk to an HVAC contractor.  Thanks for any help!

It is quiete simple....
select an aircondition with minimal noise. there are inside unit`s with about only 17db noise.
Choose a good place for the inside unit, that allow you, to install a gobo in front if needed, or build an exchange chamber for the fresh air inlet, which you can cool down easyly with an cheap aircondition.
my aircon is insralled since 2 day`s, and i am so happy for the cooling  Razz

before i had about 31

ductless "mini split" systems could be right for you.
Many of our project and smaller studios have used these.
Mitsubishi "Mr. Slim" series, etc.
Not dead quiet but very quiet.
Very efficient, very cost effective, especially for a retrofit or not ground up studio.

Get a mechanical contractor to help you.
