long absence.,..
« on: June 25, 2010, 11:09:57 PM »

sorry for my absence the past few months.  my only excuse is my ever increasing work load.

i'm making a concerted effort to get back on track.  a new IMP is coming soon.

in fairness, here is an update on what i've been doing.

Saving Abel just released their second record earlier this month.  i spent 3.5 months engineering that record.  regardless of any personal opinions of the band, i worked hard on this record, i had a great time, and i'm proud of it, so preview it on iTunes, i think it's worth a listen.  it's sonically very good.

i also engineered the new Taddy Porter record releasing shortly, that's quite good.  black crowes meets led zep.

Since October (tooth and nail records) did a few songs with me that landed on their new LP

as well as 12 Stones who did 3 songs for their new EP.

none of this is meant to be arrogant. if anything, i've learned more from working on these projects then i feel i've contributed to them.  just thought i'd share why i've been so "aloof"

hope you guys stick around, sorry i disappeared for a bit there.

We've missed you!

Welcome back, Kotter.

Sounds like you've been very busy on some cool stuff.

So you're changing the forum name to "Corporate rock, in practice and in theory"?

(I considered adding a smiley here, but all the smileys suck.)

until we're presented with another planet to "escape to", i think caring about this one will remain important.

The last four fishing charters I've run have been with folks who moved their vacation here rather than the gulf. It's sad, truly sad.
