The post regarding hip hop mastering and the fact that Brian Gardner had used these at one point triggered some curiosity.  These things are dirt cheap right now.  I've always been sceptical of running the 2 buss through anything with the name Aphex - but is anyone here actually using these things?  If so - what do you like them for - and how do they compare to Finalizer (which I have already) & L2?

You can read about some of the mod work being done here and there was a thread on the RecPit about it as well, which can be found here...

Basically, I think it's an audio path upgrade and removal of stuff that's not needed (depending on the model modified). Most guys are kinda tight-lipped about it, but a few of the guys on this board are modifying them right now...
