Check out the Planning Center Online Music Stand -- they're testing the iPad clip for a mic stand, the footswitch to change pages, and the iPad App that works with their online service to provide the PDFs to all musicians. It's targeted to churches and worship teams, but clearly the tech applies...

BTW, here is an app converting Flash to Java in real time so you don't have to care about the Adobe/Apple scuffle.

Cool. Now nobody will need to move away from Flash, since there is an app that can circumvent Apple's self-imposed limitations.

Let us hope Apple won't "outlaw" this.

It's a win-win scenario: content providers won't need to change their workflow and/or incur in more expense, and Apple users will get to access their content just like the users of more open platforms can.

In reality we're looking at some 8000 lines of code weighing in at around 175 kb which may make it heavy for iPhone, iPad and so forth.

The source code will be released soon, hopefully someone can optimize it.
