anybody got a really good sample of a vista lite kick drum?
i'm looking for something "muse-y"/"mars volta-y"
i'm willing to trade for the right thing, to be fair about what i'm asking for.

I know a drummer buddy of mine who's got one that I can probably get at this week...PM me if that can work.

don't waste tons of time on this. if it's something you yourself wants, then by all means have at it. but don't setup up a session purely on my behalf.

I gotta meet up with my buddy tomorrow, so it shouldn't be a big deal to grab a couple samples of it...I'm going to have a couple mic options...RE20, D6, ATM25, E/V N/D 868...any preferences?

Not exactly on topic, unless they can provide exactly what you want. Might be of interest to someone though?

I love the idea, but the execution leaves something to be desired.

troof. I've seen some session drummers offer services like that here and there, but the scenario was all too similar.
It would be cool to see that process actually worked a little better...higher quality engineering and more variety in actual instruments...I know it'd cost...but I also know that there'd be a lot of guys willing to pay for the service.

I'm not sure if you're interested in this route, but VLN's Addictive Drums has a Retro AdPak that has a pretty good Vistalite kick.
