PSW's own Joh Kuker (seedyunderbelly) is involved with that.

Haven't checked it out yet myself.

We've had one in AmpLand of the Meth Lab since September. Does some really cool stuff. It's a VERY raunchy sounding box.

The res. filter and EQ set it apart from other distortion devices. There's also like 40 different ways to make it distort that all net a different texture.

Speaker output to go direct to a cabinet. Cool.

You can make the res filter oscillate without any input signal. The box plays music all by itself Very Happy

The hand-model VK video demo makes it seem a lot more boring than it actually is.

It's kinda hard to describe, at the end of the day. We've been spinning the knobs on it for more than 5 months and I'm still not sure I can "sum up" what it does.

Would you buy one with your own money?

Mr. Kuker told me that the pronunciation is "R-Rated"...

Speaker output with attenuator for going direct to cabinet, no additional amplifier needed. Has been a cool amp/texture for synths, reamping snare drums for outright destruction, etc.

Actually, I think we've used it more as an amp than as a line device.

I'm personally undecided as to whether I'd buy one with my own money...I have a guitar and microphone addiction to deal with. It's still a great piece of kit, unlike anything I've used, and there will certainly be people who want to pay for it.

I watched John & his engineer play around with one at John's studio, it's way cool, and does a broad range of things.  The filters can respond dynamically which is fun.  But I'd say it's probably not for everyone.  It's certainly on my long term wish list, though.  Actually 2, because running them in tandem in stereo would be the bomb.
