Great question.  I've been recommending bandcamp.com to my artists to tide them over until they can get on iTunes, but I'd love to know how to get that done faster.

tunecore.com hands down the best deal for musicians!  Cd baby takes a cut of sales on iTunes ... Don't go that route!!

Ps: the last album I uploade a few weeks back only took about a week to go live

bandcamp just keeps getting better and better..  you can now do all your physical merch on there as well.  They also have made it so you can integrate your bandcamp page into your own band's site.  And the only money cut out of sales is the tiny amount that goes to paypal.

as far as itunes, +1 on the tunecore route

I have to say something good about Catapult.

www.catapultdistribution.com/

Good "one" pricing, they do take a %, but it is a sliding scale...the more you sell, the less their %.

Awesome website, very well laid out and professional.

Songs get on iTunes within 2-3 days, then on to ALL other music stores as well.
