Hi All,
I've just recently discovered this forum - thought-provoking reading, thanks everybody.
I'm going to be moving soon and have the opportunity to build a dedicated mastering space. There's a sturdy wooden garage (shiplap with what looks like a 2x2 frame) on a substantial concrete base at the new house, 6m x 3.5 with an apex tiled roof - wall height is close to 2.5m with apex height roughly 1.5m.
My questions are: could this be made into a feasible space for mastering, and bearing in mind that I'll have little problem with noise either entering or leaving, can one use the presumed low-bass transparency of such a building to advantage, with less treatment in that area?
I suspect these questions may raise plenty more: please ask away and I'll field them as best I can. While I think of it - monitoring is likely to be medium-sized PMCs, such as IB2s with Hypex amps (I have PMC AML1 actives at the moment) but I'm open to ideas and also like Quested and ATC, for example.
If this has already been well covered here, kindly nudge me in the right direction.
