Actually there was, the year they met the age of consent was set at 16 (the same as it is today), for the ten years prior to that it was 13, and the 600 prior to that it was 12.
Though I'm not sure how much "consent" really came into it in the early days of the law, since apparantly the wording of the 1275 statute was along the lines of "It shall be deemed illegal to ravage a maiden who is not of age".
