Two Loudspeakers, same frq, cancellations
« on: June 28, 2009, 10:40:04 AM »

I'm planning to build a four ways main system. I'd like to use 2 units for the bass and two for the mid/bass ways. I'm wondering if this solution could produce cancellations at a given freqs as soon as I walk out of the monitor axis.
I've heard that this problem happens at higher freqs
Is there any physic formula for calculating this?
Is there any relationship between the axis distance of the two spks and the wavelength of the highest freq reproducible without having to do with cancellations?
Thanks

If i remeber correctly then the speakers center to center shuldnt be further away from eachother than a quarter of a wavelength.
